Sleek Au Naturel Palette

Hello there! I hope you are well:)

When it comes to eye shadow, I much prefer neutral colours so the first appropriate palette you would think of is the Urban Decay Naked Palettes. I would absolutely love to have those, but unfortunately they are a bit beyond my budget. I hunted around the high street in search of my perfect low budget neutral palette. I think I have found it!

This is the Sleek Au Naturel Palette which I bought for just £7.99.
I think this is great value for money with a gorgeous range of colours. As I mentioned by budget is slightly limited but I have heard this palette being compared to both the Naked Palettes and Mac eye shadows. Such quality for such a reasonable price I think is great.
As you can see my palette is well loved! There is a range of matte and shimmer shades. Lighter colours are at the top and darker ones on the second line. It includes a white eye shadow for highlighting and a black eye shadow that can be used for eye liner to create a smoker look.
Here are the swatches of the first line of eye shadows. I'm sorry the photo didn't turn out great but my arm is particularly pale!
The colours from left to right are:
Nougat, Nubuck, Cappuccino, Honeycomb, Toast, Taupe
My favourite one of these is Taupe.
These are the swatches for the second line of eyeshadow. I have to admit that I don't use these as much. Because I have a fairer skin they create a bolder look, but they are still very pretty shades.
The colours from left to right are:
Conker, Moss, Bark, Mineral Earth, Regal, Noir
My Favourite one of these is Moss which I think blends nicely with Taupe.

If you would like to see any makeup looks with this palette, feel free to let me know. Thank you for reading!

Pretty Pink Flower Hair Band

Hello there! I hope you are well:)

I have always thought that flower crowns look so beautiful and are completely that kind of fashion statement that I would love but I have never been sure whether I could pull one off. When browsing in Newlook one day I came across this cute little thing...

For me this was love at first sight. This colour is gorgeous and the flowers are so daintily shaped.
There are two practical aspects that sold this for me. The flowers are on a piece of elastic making it easier to wear and place in different styles. Secondly, it is not too over the top and bold. It is pretty in a subtle way so is very easy to wear and style.
Here are a few snaps of me wearing this when I went to the cinema with my friend.

The Fault In Our Stars

Hello there! I hope you are well:)

At the weekend I went to see 'The Fault In Our Stars'! I was sooo excited to see it and it felt like I had been waiting for a lifetime for the film to be released. Before I even knew there was going to be a film I was in love with the book. So like I said to my best friend's dad when we were at hers beforehand "this is a very important film!" He struggled to understand what I was on about but I'm sure most young people who have read the incredibly emotional and beautiful book know exactly what I'm talking about.

The only slight concern I had about seeing the film was whether they could portray the feelings the book provoked. The story makes you laugh out loud at some points but also has heart wrenchingly sad parts. I was unsure whether the film could make me fall in love with the characters all over again.

But I was wrong to ever doubt the power of TFIOS. The film was amazing. Like the book at some scenes I was giddy with glee and then I was wiping away the tears. Granted it didn't involve all the details that it had in the book but that is what you get in films. The pages of wondrously strung together words you get in a book are brought to life as people who can walk and talk and move and people you can stare at for hours on end. In this process some details get lost. I think films and books are two very different ways of telling a story. If I'm being honest I prefer TFIOS as a book. I love the film but just not as much.

I created a little collage of some pictures to do with TFIOS. I hope you enjoyed this post about one of my all time favourite books/film. Thank you for reading!

My Trip to Hastings

Hello there! I hope you are well:)

Last half term holiday I went camping with my family for the weekend in the seaside town of Hastings. Here are some photos of the trip...

My Uncle took us on an off road adventure from our camp site aiming to end up at the beach...that didn't happen we ended up near the edge of a cliff. However we did have a beautifully scenic journey.
The old, cobbled streets of Hastings
When I turned the corner to be faced with this I was very excited! Who would have thought it the Doctor's Tardis in Hastings! (hehe, a photo for all the Whovians out there)
By staying on the roads we did visit the beach and it was wonderful!
I bought this little fella at the sea front and stuck it outside the entrance of our tent
There were some extremely beautiful and extremely old buildings in town
This is the prettiest and most floral windowsill I've ever seen
Another snap of the cute little town
One thing that you won't see in London is the seaside attractions and my favourite has always been the carousel

That concludes my trip to Hastings. Thank you for reading!

Triple Taylor Swift Perfume!

Hello there! I hope you are well:)

I have a confession...I am a SWIFTIE! I love Taylor Swift so obviously I have all three of her perfumes. Now I understand not everyone likes the gorgeous country pop star as much as I do but that does not mean you won't like these perfumes. I think they are lovely regardless. Whenever a celebrity brings out a product and it's very popular, I always think is it really that good? Or is it that people are buying it because its branded with a famous name? With these products I have no doubt in my mind that they deserve all the praise they get. I'm not being bias...I promise:p

These are the three beautiful bottles of scented goodness! I do actually have the smaller bottles because I buy them in the gift boxes usually with a couple of other beauty products like body lotion.

The first perfume is called 'Wonderstruck'. Now after my earlier confession of my love for all things Taylor, I'll be honest with you...I'm really not great at describing scents. I have a very limited vocabulary when it comes to that area of expertises. So I'll let you know the description off the website "The fragrance has notes of freesia, green tea, apple blossom, raspberry and dewberry." I think this is a summer evening kind of scent. So if your going out somewhere nice or you just want to smell a little bit special I'd use this.

The second perfume is a follow on from the first. 'Wonderstruck Enchanted' "is an irresistible blend of luscious wild berries and sugar-glazed petals wrapped in a touch of sensuality for a captivating signature." This one is more musky and sophisticated so I use it for special occasions. I also seems to be more of an autumn winter smell.

I think it goes without saying that the packaging of these bottles is so pretty - they remind me of magical potion bottles!

The lastest addition to the collection is something different to the previous perfumes both in name and nature. This perfume 'Taylor' is scented with "luscious fruits, blushing florals and soft woods". It is a pretty, feminine smell which is sweet and floral but not too overpowering. I happily use it on an everyday basis. I think, as the name indicates, this scent is more 'just Taylor on an everyday basis' and she has blended to together her favourite smells to create this gorgeous perfume which is so beautifully bottled. The bottle is very retro and vintage combining bright, swirly patterns, pearls and crystal.

That is all about my treasured Taylor Swift perfumes. Thank you ever so much for reading!

Primark Candles

Hello there! I hope you are well:)

I know this isn't really the time of year to be talking about candles but I use them them all year round very frequently. I love burning them because they make me feel so relaxed, calm and it begins to motivate me to do things.

These ones are from Primark. The 'Fresh Citrus and Ginger' scent is quite strong and musky while the 'Sweet Vanilla and Coconut' candle is light and sweet. The scent does not fill the whole room however you do get a lot of candle for just a few pounds. I think these are really nice, cheap candles for regular candle burners.

Thank you for reading.
