The Waterfall Braid

Hello there! I hope you are well:)

I think waterfall braid looks really intricate and dainty. You can make them very neat and pretty or how I often do it is a little more messy and kind of go for a boho style. I do it this way because they are quicker and easier than they may seem so if I don't have much time to do my hair it's a good option to go for.
1. For this look all I did was take a section of hair few centimetres wide and spilt it into three.
2. Cross the front section over the middle section then the back section over the middle section and the front section again-just like a normal braid.
3. Once you get to this point you need to drop the front section of hair and add a little bit more hair from the top of your head to the back section only before crossing it over the middle section.
4. Pick up a new bit of hair from underneath the braid to make it into a three strand braid again and cross it over the middle section.
5. Cross the bottom section over the middle section and repeat.
6. Finally, I like to add salt spray to the rest of my hair to give it more texture and make sure to use hair spray.

I hope this is helpful. Thank you for reading!

Decorating My Make-up Brush Holder

Hello there! I hope you are well:)

Not long ago I was tidying my desk and I found I lot of clutter and rubbish that I didn't really need. Most of it I threw away but for one empty jelly bean pot I had other ideas! It was the right size and shape to hold my make-up brushes. Before I put it into use, I decided to jazz it up a bit and this is how I did it.

I used:
Glue, scissors, a pencil, a ruler, decorative paper and obviously the empty pot of jelly beans (if you are making this you can use any pot it doesn't have to be an old jelly bean one of course:p)

1. I placed the pot onto the paper to mark the length of it. I added a few centimetres more because you don't want to get the exact same size, you need some room for folding and wrapping the paper round.

2. I then wrapped the paper around the pot, again adding a few extra centimetres I marked the width.

3. I used the pencil markings to draw straight lines, outlining what to cut out.

4. Once you have done that, you can go ahead and cut it out.

5. It's time to get glueing!

6. Next place the pot onto the paper leaving a bit of space either side length wise and get rolling it up.

7. Now to deal with the ends what I did was put little slits in the paper about every 1 or 2 cm along each edge. Glue that and fold it down.

8. Ta-dah! It's a really nice way to store your brushes and an affordable way to cutesiefy (yeah I just made up a word) your dressing table.

Chitter Chatter- Nearly Summer, New Eye Products & My Current Book

Hello there! I hope you are well:)

I'm happy to say there's only three days left until school ends for the Summer! Whoopwhoop :D *celebratory dance*
demonstrated beautifully on my Taylor Swift calender

Mini haul time!
On a Saturday, I like to go for a walk to the highstreet about 20 minutes away from my house. There's both a Boots and a Superdrug there, so always very very tempting... This time a bought some more hairspray which was completely justicified as mine had run out. Also for hair I bought Toni&Guy sea salt spray which I am very excited to use because I have thin fairly flat hair so I'm hoping this will bring it to life a bit more. Then I picked up three eye products.
Left: Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal 005 Nude
Middle: Rimmel Scandaleyes Eye shadow stick 002 Bulletproof Beige
Right: Maybelline Color Tattoo 40-Permanent Taupe

Currently I am reading...
I am really liking 'Boys Don't Cry'. I wasn't sure if I would but I got it anyway because I have read other books by Malorie Blackman and really enjoyed them. The story line is very different to anything I've read before. It is about a 17 year old boy who has his life planned out before him but his plans become majorly disrupted when his ex-girlfriend turns up with a baby.

What book are you reading at the moment? I'd love to hear your recommendations.
Thanks for reading!

My New Foundation Brush

Hello there! I hope you're well:)

When I first used foundation (I'm sure like most people) I didn't have a special brush or anything. For a long time I didn't think I really needed one. The more I learnt about make-up through Beauty Bloggers, the more I thought having a brush would be a good idea. I bought a cheap one from Superdrug but didn't enjoy using it and actually preferred to use my hands instead. After watching Youtube beauty videos I became interested in one brush in particular. So I went and bought...

The Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

This brush is so soft I actually look forward to putting on my foundation. It makes the foundation blend better making it look nicer. Also, after putting on make-up your hands aren't covered in foundation and I'm sure using a brush is much more hygienic as long as you wash it now and again of course.

The design looks very professional so it makes me look like I know more about make-up than I really do!;) Some cheaper brushes don't respond well to being washed but this brush washes and dries really easily. After washing it doesn't loose quality either. I really like the fact that the Real Techniques Brushes are Nic and Sam's brushes who run Pixiwoo.

Overall, I think it was well worth the £8.99 I spent on it.

5 Summer Shirts

Hello there! I hope you are well:)

In this fashion post I will be talking about 5 shirts which I really like and I think will be nice to wear in the Summertime if you are going for more of a dressed up look.

1. The plain white shirt
H&M
I think this shirt is a real staple in your wardrobe because it is so versatile. You could wear this with some really bold and bright pieces and this shirt would tone the look down a bit.

2.  The coloured shirt
Primark
I really like this mint green shirt. It's great when you can get a shirt that is a really gorgeous colour and just wear leggings or a skirt with it. With this shirt you can let the colour do the talking. It is also nice to pair it with contrastingly coloured accessories to bring interest to the look.

3. The Floral and Peter Pan collared shirt
New Look
This shirt has two of my favourite things: a floral pattern and a Peter Pan collar. The floral pattern is very summery, pretty and elegant. I prefer Peter Pan collars and think they make a shirt very cutsie.

4.  The Polka Dott Shirt
Primark
Polka dotts are also very cutsie. It's a simpler pattern than an intricate floral pattern but adds more interest than just a coloured shirt.

5. The Bold Monochrome Shirt
Top Shop
I have to say that this shirt is not for everyone and sometimes it's not for me. But on those days when you feel like rocking a jazzy statement kind of piece this is the shirt for you. The pattern is what brings interest to this item and is something a bit different from the bright bold colours I know I usually go for in the Summer.

What kind of shirts do you like wearing in Summer?

Tidy, More Organised Desk

Hello there! I hope you are well:)

I have never been good at keeping things tidy which I find kind of weird as I like to keep things very organised. My desk which is meant to be my working space has been a total heap lately needed some serious organising! I went down to Wilkinson's to buy some stationary and things to help keep my desk in order. Hopefully this will make my desk look good, make it a better working environment and help motivate me to do some work!

This is what I got...

What do you use to keep your desk tidy?

Cute Little Woodland Creature Box

Hello there! I hope you are well:)

Only a few weeks ago I was wondering round a gift shop in order to buy my friend a birthday present. Then I came across this...
It is the cutest little plastic baby blue box with a woodland creature decorated lid. It is just so adora-bubble I couldn't leave it in the shop! (Yes I just said adora-bubble, it is an even cuter word than adorable.) Do you guys ever do that? Go out to buy something for someone else but end up shopping for yourself...yeah that happened.

When I got home I looked up the name on the bottom of the box and found that there was a whole online shop full of lovely gifts (for other people or to treat yourself hehe;) )

This wonderful place on the internet is called: http://www.dotcomgiftshop.com/

Yes I am aware it is meant to be a lunch box but I am breaking the rules and not using it for what it was made for. It's too pretty to keep my sandwiches in! Also it is only £4.95.
